The Synology DVA1622 is a network video recorder that combines deep learning analytics with straightforward deployment to give homeowners, store managers, and small office IT teams the tools they need to keep their property secure. It accepts up to sixteen IP cameras and comes with eight camera licenses, so you can start recording right away. Compatibility with more than 8300 camera models and support for the ONVIF standard means you can choose the equipment that matches your budget and design preferences.

Artificial intelligence runs directly on the recorder, driven by a four core Intel Celeron processor and 6 GB of memory. With the analysis handled on site, you do not need a separate server or cloud subscription to gain real time facial recognition, people and vehicle tracking, or license plate identification. Retailers can receive instant alerts when a VIP walks in, homeowners can be notified when an unfamiliar face appears, and parking lot operators can automate entry by matching incoming plates against an allowed list.

Storage is equally straightforward. The two front accessible bays take standard 3.5 inch SATA disks and support RAID 0 for maximum capacity, RAID 1 for mirrored protection, or JBOD for independent volumes. Because drives are not included, you can select quiet lower capacity disks for a home environment or high endurance surveillance drives for continuous recording at a business site.

Monitoring options are designed to fit any workflow. Connect the built in HDMI port to a local 4K monitor for a standalone security station, or use the DS cam mobile app or a web browser to view live feeds and recordings from anywhere. A Gigabit Ethernet port keeps streams smooth, while USB 3.0 ports make it easy to export footage to an external drive. Whether you are building a new system or upgrading an existing one, the DVA1622 offers the performance, intelligence, and simplicity that make day to day security management much easier.
