Lightning Thief - Rick Riordan (1st edition 9th print HC) Hyperion/Miramax, 2005

First edition, ninth printing hardcover copy of The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan (Hyperion/Miramax, 2005). Increasingly scarce early copy of this beloved debut novel in the young adult fantasy series, Percy Jackson & The Olympians. A moderately worn copy, but jacket is now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve. Jacket has some rubbing/scuffing to faces and wear around the edges - including some creases, chipping and small tears, especially to corners. Boards are straight and fairly clean but with wear to top and bottom edges and with bumped/torn corners. Binding is mildly split at copyright page, but hinges are secure, spine is straight and binding remains fairly firm on the whole. Some faint blemishes to title page, apparently from being stuck to the opposite page. Spotty discoloration to top edge of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked.
